Atelier & Sons · Atwater Village, Los Angeles
The gym that shows you the numbers.
At Atelier & Sons, every session is logged, every lift is tracked, and every member leaves knowing exactly how far they've come.
A training floor built around outcomes
Most gyms sell access. We sell a system. At Atelier & Sons on Steel Lane, Los Angeles, every programme begins with a baseline assessment — body composition, movement screen, and a goal interview with one of our coaches. From that foundation we build a 12-week block tailored to your starting point, whether that's shedding the first thirty pounds or adding fifty to your deadlift. Progress reports land in your inbox every Sunday so you know not just how hard you worked but whether the work is moving the needle. The forest-cream interiors keep the space calm and focused; this is a place for serious effort, not performance. We cap new member intake each quarter to protect coach-to-member ratios, so every cohort gets real attention.
What makes results happen here
Weekly Progress Reports
Every member receives a structured Sunday report with strength benchmarks, body composition deltas, and a coach note. Numbers on paper are what separate intentions from improvements — you see the trend before it becomes a plateau.
Capped Cohort Intake
We limit each quarterly intake to 40 new members. Smaller cohorts mean coaches learn your name on day one and spot a form breakdown before it becomes an injury. The ratio is protected because results depend on it.
12-Week Programming Blocks
No random workouts. Each block follows a periodised structure — accumulation, intensification, realisation — so your body adapts progressively instead of spinning on the same effort indefinitely. Blocks reset with a new assessment.
Baseline Assessment on Day One
Before you touch a barbell, a certified coach runs a movement screen, records your baseline lifts, and sets target numbers for your first 12-week block. You start with a target, not a guess.
Forest-Cream Training Environment
The interior palette — warm forest green and natural cream — keeps the floor calm and focused rather than loud and chaotic. Natural walnut accents and directional lighting mean the space supports concentration, not distraction.
PR Board Every Quarter
Personal records go on the board at the end of every 12-week block. It's a small ritual that matters: public acknowledgment of real, measured improvement by peers who know how hard you worked to get there.
“I joined in January weighing 227 pounds with a stalled squat at 185. By the end of the first 12-week block I was at 214 pounds and squatting 245. The Sunday report was the thing — seeing the trend in black and white made it impossible to make excuses.”

“Other gyms I tried felt like parking lots with barbells. Here, my coach Renée remembered where I stalled the week before and adjusted the programme on the spot. Three months in, my blood pressure is down and my pull-up max went from zero to eight. Those are facts, not feelings.”
